A Calm Resolve to Wait for the Salvation of God

To the Chief Musician. To(A)Jeduthun. A Psalm of David.

62 Truly(B)my soul silentlywaitsfor God;
From Himcomesmy salvation.
He onlyismy rock and my salvation;
He ismy[a]defense;
I shall not be greatly(C)moved.[b]

How long will you attack a man?
You shall be slain, all of you,
(D)Like a leaning wall and a tottering fence.
They only consult to casthimdown from his high position;
They(E)delight in lies;
They bless with their mouth,
But they curse inwardly.Selah

My soul, wait silently for God alone,
For my[c]expectationisfrom Him.
He onlyismy rock and my salvation;
He ismy defense;
I shall not be[d]moved.
(F)In Godismy salvation and my glory;
The rock of my strength,
Andmy refuge,isin God.

Trust in Him at all times, you people;
(G)Pour out your heart before Him;
Godisa refuge for us.Selah

(H)Surely men of low degreeare[e]a vapor,
Men of high degreearea lie;
If they are weighed on the scales,
Theyarealtogetherlighterthan vapor.
10 Do not trust in oppression,
Nor vainly hope in robbery;
(I)If riches increase,
Do not setyourhearton them.

11 God has spoken once,
Twice I have heard this:
That powerbelongsto God.
12 Also to You, O Lord,belongsmercy;
For(J)You[f]render to each one according to his work.
